I wasn’t eager to find the best fruity non-alcoholic beer, but I’m going to buy more of this one.
Raspberry Gose
Bravus Brewing (Anaheim, CA – USA)
TheBestNA.com rating: 98 POINTS
ABV: <0.5%
Style: Fruit / flavored ale
Full disclosure: I don’t care much for fruity beer. It’s why Bravus Raspberry Gose sat in the back of my fridge for weeks while I tasted a dozen or so other NAs I’d hauled home in the same purchase.
This, it turns out, was a mistake.
With the holiday season upon us… the stack of other unfinished NA reviews will just going to have to wait. This brew needs your attention now because it has deck-the-halls written all over it.
Almost everything looked right on the pour: It has a nice golden hue with a modest haze that lives up to the gose style.
The NA gives off a subtle fruity aroma.
“Let’s get this over with,” I thought to myself as I gulped down my first taste… and was absolutely delighted!
Bravus Raspberry Gose is a velvety treat.
A complex, well-balanced berry flavor
This NA evoked memories of an approachable boozy-beer framboise.
One of my chief complaints about fruit beers is that they often feel ham-handed, clumsily bombarding the palate with this or that flavor-of-the-week instead of crafting something truly special.
No such trouble here. Bravus nailed the addition of the raspberry in this brew. It’s front-and-center, slightly tart, and cleanly woven into every stitch of the tapestry that is this NA.
To pull it off, Bravus reports using a “very, very small amount of pink salt” to cut the sweetness of the berry extract.
It’s brilliantly executed.
The hops and yeast are relegated to supporting character status in this NA. While that would be an issue for pales and IPAs, it works just fine here.
While fruit-forward, Bravus balanced the raspberry in this gose expertly with the rest of its parts. It’s not too fruity. Well done, Bravus!
Creamy goodness
The gose wanted a little bit for head retention and the carbonation ran on the light side.
But was it a problem? Not really, no.
Bravus Raspberry Gose has excellent backbone.
It’s not champagne-like. It drinks like good craft beer.
The creamy mouthfeel of this gose complements the raspberry more deeply with each taste.
A versatile brew, this NA is delicate enough to enjoy on its own and strong enough to pair with a meal or dessert.

Among the best of The Best NA
The NA that I put off tasting for as long as a possibly could is an absolute must-try, even if you’re not inclined toward fruity beers.
It’s not my style at all.
But with a Christmas tree coming soon to my home soon, I plan on buying more Bravus Raspberry Gose to sip beside it.
It’s the best fruity non-alcoholic beer I’ve come across.
